1 Week Down

Well let me just say this past week has been one of the most emotional weeks I have had!  We followed Morgan to USM and spent the day getting her dorm together. By the way it is so cute!!!!! She had several meetings for the Dixie Darlings. A big shout out to all the help we had Coty, Christen, Leighton and Melonie. Morgan's roommate did not move in until 2 days later. So if you know Mo you know she does not like to stay alone! When we started to leave it was not pretty! We all cried. Guess who stayed in the dorm and spent the night in a twin bed? Yes you guessed it Paul and I! First of all  Paul snores terrible and shook the walls. The dorm beds are really high so every hour that Paul got up and went to the restroom he had to jump off the bed and hit the floor with a thud! It was quite a night. Leighton was in the bed with Morgan and cried off and on all night! We got up at 5 to get Leighton to school. WE all left crying again.  It was awful. Morgan had Dixie Darling camp all week from 8 in the morning to 9 at night. That night she called crying saying it was awful and she hated it at USM. She had to stay in the dorm alone that night crying and Paul and I were at home crying. She even had the whole Long family up and worried. She tried to get in touch with Coty who lives in an apartment in Hattiesburg but he did not answer the phone. SURPRISE!!!!!! I knew that I would be upset about her leaving and I can handle that, but I could not handle Morgan being upset about being there. Paul was ready to go pack her back up and bring her home. Her friend Amy (who she cheered with) is her roommate and she checked in Friday. Her other good friend Gavin checked in also. So Friday was a little better! With each day it got a little for her but not really for us. Classes started Wednesday and she loved it! She started posting pics and staying out late! HaHa She really likes the college life but Paul said it is about to kill him. Paul & I have been up there 3 times since the move. I know that sounds like a bit much but not really if you know me. We all went up last night to see a Dixie Darling performance. It was really good. Paul left this morning heading to work the hurricane claims on the east coast so I really am here with an empty nest! A friend of mine told me before long I would have a little dog carrying it around in a little purse. WHATEVER! If that happens I would have really CRACKED UP!
